Champlin Ice Forum and Brooklyn Park Ice Arena
This camp is designed for all players who are trying out for the High School Hockey Team this fall. Individuals who have played Bantam A hockey are also invited to attend this camp.
The goal of this camp is to raise every skater’s skills to the highest possible level. This camp will provide players an excellent opportunity to improve the essential skills needed to be successful.
Camp Outline:
On Ice areas of emphasis:
• European flow drills will be utilized to increase puck movement and ice awareness
• Heavy emphasis on a skater’s stride and overall skating technique
• Training for defensemen and forwards through situational play
• Competition drills featuring 1-1’s, 2-1’s, and 2-2’s will be utilized
• 3 - 2hr game days in July
Off Ice Training will focus on exercises that develop upper and lower body power. A number of core strength activities will be emphasized to increase a player’s power and balance. Stickhandling and shooting will also be emphasized.
